SPECTRUM OPUS 7
Title: Spectrum opus 7
Spectrum opus 7 is an abstract, interactive light object, designed and produced by Deborah Apol in march 2024.
This light-object is handmade, and one of a kind.
In this artwork several layers of colored photographic filters are combined with white satin acrylic sheets.
By transmission of artificial light through these layers, the full color spectrum can be created by one click on a remote control.
Also the brightness of the light and colors can be controlled.
This adjustable quality makes Spectrum easy to fit in various interiors.
The tension in this artwork lies in the contrast between the softness of the satin surfaces and the clean contour of the rod.
SPECTRUM SERIES
Spectrum is a series of abstract, interactive light objects. Every single light-object is handmade and one of a kind.
Because of my musical background (as a professional pianist), I use the musical terminology 'opus' what means 'work', for numbering each individual light artwork.
